Busy Person Retreat
The Busy Person Retreat is a Loyola Lenten tradition that invites staff, faculty, administrators, and board members to spend intentional time in prayer and reflection throughout the season of Lent.
A participant commits to praying three times a week for 30 minutes at a time and meeting with a spiritual director once a week for 30 minutes; this experience being a 2-hour a week commitment for six weeks. Our team will provide suggestions for prayer, but know that the retreat will be rooted in where you are at.
The grace of this retreat is how malleable and flexible it is, knowing that people have a wide range of commitments, schedules, and availability that make going away on retreat more complicated.
The Busy Person Retreat 2026 will involve the following:
- Attend an opening orientation on Thursday, February 12 from 12-1pm on Zoom.
- Pray 3 times a week for 30 minutes each during Lent (February 18 through April 2).
- Meet with a spiritual director each week for 30 minutes during Lent. We will pair you with a director. You and your director will determine an appropriate time to meet either in person or virtually.
- Attend a closing luncheon (location TBD).
